Dr. Dilkaranjot "Karan" Grewal grew up in Seattle and earned his DDS from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He then served as a dental officer in the United States Army with the 44th Medical Brigade, caring for the soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division, where dentistry has no sales quotas and no upselling. There is only one question that matters: what does this patient actually need?
After the Army, Dr. Grewal spent a year in a high volume practice, treating a large number of patients without ever compromising on outcomes or on the patient experience. It sharpened something he already believed: care and efficiency were never actually in conflict, and neither one has to come at the expense of the other.
He brought all of it, the discipline, the pace, the plain language habit of explaining everything before doing anything, to North Raleigh, where North Oaks Family Dentistry is now his practice, and his patients are his neighbors.

When he's not in the office, Dr. Grewal is usually training for a marathon, halfway through a home-improvement project, or defending his strong opinions about North Carolina BBQ. He and his wife, Jasjit, share their home with a dog named Nimbu, who has never once flossed.
